Welcome to a relaxed, playful, family-centered experience with the opportunity to leave the busy behind and just be with each other. My goal every time is for you to come away feeling more connected, loved, and seen.
When a family reaches out to me for family photos, they have more in mind than a Christmas card photo. They want photographs capturing unique personalities of their growing kids, images that speak of the love and connection they share on a daily basis, pictures that will remind them of how it feels to a family — preserved forever.
What should we wear for family photos?
Check out my clothing guide for wardrobe ideas! You can be yourself and remember that comfort increases confidence.
Once you have chosen some options you’d like, I can absolutely give you feedback and help you pull it all together! I always recommend that mom picks her outfit first, and then we can build the rest of the family wardrobe from there. Don’t forget that choosing appropriate shoes, socks, and jewelry will make a big difference!
Where should we take our family photos in Michigan?
My home base is the glory and wealth of Ann Arbor’s natural landscape. It’s SO lovely here, every season! Outdoor family photo sessions usually take place in the greater Ann Arbor area.
I photograph with 100% natural light and am constantly adventuring to scout out locations with gorgeous light, landscape, and a variety of elements for us to play with and explore. Take a look at my location guide to start thinking about the type of location your family would like to experience!
